Infrastructure fund manager CMB Prime has entered into an alliance with LarrainVial, with the aim of developing new investment funds focused on the infrastructure sector in Chile and Latin America.
The agreement includes the entry of LarrainVial to the property of CMB Prime, through which it will participate in 50% of the fund management business carried out jointly. The focus of the alliance will be oriented towards infrastructure businesses, which present recurring and long-term revenues, including ports, highways, healthcare companies, hospitals, among others.
CMB Prime has 25 years of experience investing in infrastructure businesses in Chile. It currently has three funds under management, representing assets of more than USD 150 million, among which are stock positions in airports, roads, ports and concessions of different types in Chile.
Ignacio Guerrero, President of CMB Prime, stressed that this agreement will allow them to take a new step in their growth, since "LarrainVial's capacity for distribution, capital raising and new business generation in the region will allow us to create powerful funds for local and international investors, always looking for positions in attractive projects in Latin America, which we trust will deliver a good return for our future contributors ".
For LarrainVial, one of the leading financial institutions in the capital market of the Andean Region, this alliance represents the entry into the business of managing infrastructure funds, in line with its objective of having a wide range of asset classes for its customers.
